Yes Chef!

A brand revitalisation for an artisanal food brand — new identity, new positioning, over a million products sold within days of launch

Yes Chef! — hero image

Context

An artisanal food brand with a strong product and a brand that wasn't keeping up.

Yes Chef! is a premium artisanal pastry and chocolate brand operating through Henley Bridge, supplying to retailers, marketplaces and direct consumers. The product quality was unquestionable. The brand identity had not evolved to match it.

In a competitive food and gifting market — particularly on Amazon and premium retail channels — brand presentation is a direct commercial lever. Packaging that looks premium commands premium prices. Packaging that doesn't, doesn't. We were brought in to close that gap.

The challenge

Make a great product look as good as it tastes — across every channel simultaneously.

The rebrand needed to work across a complex range of contexts: product packaging, Amazon marketplace listings, brand materials, print collateral and wholesale communications — all of which would launch at the same time. There was no phased rollout. The new brand had to land complete and coherent from day one.

  • Create an identity that communicated artisanal quality and premium positioning without losing approachability
  • Design a visual system flexible enough to work across packaging, digital, print and wholesale
  • Differentiate Yes Chef! in a crowded gifting and food marketplace
  • Build a complete brand guidelines document the team could use independently going forward

Approach

Identity first. System second. Launch-ready from day one.

The project began with the brand positioning — understanding what Yes Chef! stood for, who it was for, and how it needed to feel in the hand and on the screen. From there, the visual identity was developed to express that positioning across every format.

  • Brand strategy and positioning — defining the character and tone that would run through everything
  • Logo design and wordmark — the signature for every product, page and package
  • Colour palette, typography and visual language — a complete system, not just a logo
  • Brand guidelines document — detailed usage rules ensuring consistency across every application
  • Amazon marketplace presence — storefront and product listing design optimised for conversion
  • Brand collateral — packaging direction, print materials and wholesale communications
New branding. Over a million products sold within days of launch.

Outcome

The rebranded Yes Chef! launched across Amazon and direct channels — and within days, had surpassed over a million products sold. The new identity repositioned the brand as a recognised name in premium artisanal food, differentiating it in a competitive marketplace and establishing the kind of brand recall that sustains repeat purchase.

This is what effective brand design actually looks like: not a prettier logo, but a measurable commercial outcome. The work paid for itself many times over in the first week.
